AB - Peter Ehlers was to give a speech at the 2nd Session of the Assembly (2020) in Monaco, which was to mark the 100th anniversary of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO). Sadly, the speech was cancelled due to the exceptional circumstances posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. His words were left unspoken. Nevertheless, as Peter Ehlers still had something of significance to say, we are now publishing the manuscript of his intended speech.greatest risk of climate change-related hazards.
